Hill View Residential and Nursing Care Home

Welcome to Hill View Care Home in Clydebank where our dedicated and compassionate team provides person-centred care for Residents with a range of different needs. Our charming Home is in the historic town of Clydebank, located on the banks of the River Clyde, an area made famous by the Scottish shipbuilding industry.

We pride ourselves on being able to offer a variety of care on one site through our five purpose-built Houses. Our friendly team, colourful décor, great food and busy activities programme creates a sense of community which gives Hill View its unique character.
Each House has a personality and individuality of its own – but together we are one community. So, whether Residents want to socialise in our communal spaces, watch a film in our cinema room or take part in group sessions in our reminiscence room, there’s always something to join in with.

Hill View Care Home in Clydebank is a popular choice with families who are seeking high quality care. We’re located just eight miles north-west of Glasgow and benefit from good public transport and road connections.

Person-centred care

The health and wellbeing of Residents is our top priority, and our person-centred approach means that our care is tailored to individual needs, with Residents contributing to the decisions about their own care, rather than a ‘one size fits all’ approach. We treat everyone with dignity and respect, offering them the very best quality of care to ensure that every Resident can live a full and meaningful life.

Whilst Residents may choose to keep their own GP, we can use local practices and we have weekly visits from our Care Home Liaison Nurse who provides specialist advice to our nursing Colleagues. Our team are always happy to make arrangements for Residents to see other practioners such as dentists, podiatrists, opticians, chiropodists among others. We also have onsite physiotherapists able to help Residents keep mobility and strength at its maximum and regain any that may already have been lost.

Our dedicated Activity Co-ordinator is on hand to help Residents continue with their existing hobbies or try out new pastimes. Dining and nutrition

Good food and a balanced diet is essential for wellbeing. That’s why our in-house chefs delight in cooking up delicious seasonal menus with a variety of fresh ingredients, ensuring Residents get the essential nutrients they require. In the comfort of our cosy dining room, or in their own private rooms, Residents can enjoy three tasty meals a day with delicious home-baked cakes and refreshments available at other times.

Covid-secure visiting

Our number one priority is keeping Residents safe and connected with their loved ones. We have recently created a COVID-secure, indoor visiting space to ensure that Residents can socialise with their family and friends in warmth and comfort.

A message from our Manager

“I have been in the care sector for 18 years, both in the NHS and in care homes, and I am a Registered Nurse with an SVQ 4 Management Award.
I’ve had the great privilege of being at Hill View since October 2020, firstly as a Deputy Manager and then as Home Manager from July 2021.
My goal has always been to make Hill View a home away from home for the residents that live here and we like to make sure that they are involved in everything that we do.
I’m very hands on and if I’m not in my office you’ll probably find me playing dominoes or having a sing-song with the residents.”
