A Special Day Out Gives Braehead Resident Anne a Smile to Remember
27 July 2026
A simple trip to the shops became a truly memorable experience for Braehead resident Anne, who recently enjoyed a wonderful one-to-one outing to Braehead Shopping Centre with Wellbeing Coordinator Caitlyn.
The special day offered Anne the opportunity to spend time out in the community, explore her favourite shops at her own pace, and enjoy the freedom of choosing exactly what she wanted—an experience that brought plenty of smiles and lasting memories.
One of the highlights of the visit was a stop at Marks & Spencer, where Anne was delighted to pick up her favourite strawberry tarts. Being able to browse the shelves herself and select her favourite treats made the experience even more meaningful, leaving her beaming with happiness.
While the outing included a little retail therapy, it was about much more than shopping. Days out like these help residents stay connected to their local community, enjoy a change of scenery, maintain their independence and continue taking part in the everyday activities that bring them joy.
Whether it’s choosing a favourite dessert, enjoying a leisurely stroll through familiar shops or simply spending quality time chatting over a coffee, these moments can make a significant difference to a person’s confidence, emotional wellbeing and overall quality of life.
Anne returned to Braehead full of smiles, happily sharing stories from her day and looking forward to enjoying her strawberry tarts. Her outing was a wonderful reminder of how meaningful everyday experiences can be and how even the smallest moments can have a lasting impact.
At Braehead, supporting residents to live life to the fullest is at the heart of everything the team does.
