Advinia Healthcare Hosts First-Ever B Happie Star Chef of the Year Regional Heat in the North

Advinia’s first ever B Happie Star Chef of the Year brought together talented chefs from across the Northern region for an inspiring live cook-off, showcasing creativity, passion and culinary excellence. It was not only a fantastic day for our chefs, but also for our residents, who played a central role in the competition.
Residents attended the live cook-offs, sampled the dishes, and had the honour of judging the competition themselves – ensuring the dishes were truly resident-focused and reflective of what matters most in our homes.
We are delighted to announce that Mark McGuffie from Stonedale Care Home has been crowned our first regional finalist, alongside Claudine Walker from Robbertown Care Home, who also secured her place in the National Finals. Congratulations to both chefs on this incredible achievement.
In another first for Advinia Healthcare, the entire event was live streamed to residents across our care homes, allowing even more people to be part of the excitement, support their chefs, and experience the competition in real time.
This event reflects Advinia’s ongoing commitment to enhancing resident wellbeing through high-quality dining experiences, engagement and innovation.
