Annan Court Hosts B Happie Awards Ceremony

In a heart-warming celebration of community spirit and dedication, Annan Court held its annual B Happie Awards ceremony, bringing together residents, staff members, family, and the wider community for an evening of recognition and festivity. The event was a testament to the hard work and commitment of all those connected to Annan Court, with awards given out to honour their contributions.
In the weeks leading up to the ceremony, anticipation was high as nominations poured in. A nominations box allowed individuals to vote for each other, ensuring a democratic and inclusive selection process. Residents and staff members teamed up to create delightful hampers for raffle prizes, assemble photo prop decorations, and prepare goody bags for the children attending.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Dumfriesshire, who took on the honorable role of distributing the awards. Several staff members were recognized for their exceptional contributions:
- Chantelle won Employee of the Year and Most Helpful.
- Gemma received The Leadership Award.
- Jon was awarded The Happiest.
- Charlene was recognized as The Most Eccentric.
For the residents, the awards highlighted their remarkable achievements and contributions:
- Sheila was honored for Outstanding Achievement.
- Anna received recognition as The Oldest Resident, celebrating her incredible 105 years.
- Nancy was acknowledged for being the Longest Standing Resident.
The atmosphere was electrified with entertainment provided by the talented Gary Black, who also received an award in recognition of his contributions.
Guests were treated to a variety of refreshments, with a ‘Nosecco’ bar offering non-alcoholic sparkling wine, and a buffet tea featuring an array of delicious treats. As is tradition, the raffle was a highlight of the evening, with excited participants eager to win the beautifully crafted hampers.
