Braemount Care Home Welcomes the New Year with Laughter and Nostalgia

Braemount Care Home was filled with laughter and heartfelt moments as residents enjoyed a spectacular performance of “The Night Before New Year’s” presented by The Geez A Break Panto. The comedic narrative centered around two elderly neighbours who shared a bond over vodka as they welcomed in the New Year together.
As the clock struck midnight, the characters engaged in heartfelt reminiscence, sharing treasured memories from the past. The play beautifully highlighted themes of nostalgia and friendship, resonating deeply with the audience. Residents were thoroughly entertained by humour that cleverly played on nostalgic references, including memories of old tin baths and the hidden gems of neighbourhood shops.
The atmosphere was electric with joy as the audience joined in singing lively tunes such as “Ally Bally Bee” and the heartfelt “Auld Lang Syne.” The musical moments created a warm sense of community and shared history, leaving everyone with smiles and fond memories.
