Brenda Celebrates Her Birthday in Style at the Pub with Friends from Ryland View

On Tuesday 8th April, Ryland View Care Home residents enjoyed a heartwarming and sunshine-filled outing to Port “N” Ale pub to celebrate a very special occasion — Brenda’s birthday.
To mark the big day, Brenda and a group of fellow residents, accompanied by staff, headed to their favourite local spot for a celebratory drink and some quality time together. With the sun beaming down, the group chose to sit outside, soaking up the warmth, enjoying cheerful conversation, and raising a glass to the birthday girl.
Brenda was all smiles as she sipped on a shandy followed by her favourite small whiskey and lemonade, while her friends and staff sang her a joyful rendition of “Happy Birthday.”
“What a lovely way to spend my birthday — thank you all,” Brenda said, clearly touched by the effort made to make her day feel extra special.
Resident George added, “What a lovely afternoon to feel the sun and have a lovely cold pint,” while Hazel reflected on the joy of friendship, saying, “This is lovely to have us all together for Brenda’s birthday.”
The outing was a perfect mix of fresh air, laughter, and good company — a simple yet meaningful way to celebrate life and friendship. Brenda was truly overjoyed, thankful to be surrounded by friends who made her day one to remember.
