Celebrating 102 Wonderful Years with Margaret at Golfhill Care Home

9 July 2025

Last week at Golfhill Care Home, we had the honour of celebrating a truly remarkable milestone—our lovely Resident Margaret Campbell turned 102 years old!

The atmosphere was filled with joy, laughter, and love as staff, fellow Residents, and Margaret’s incredible family came together for a very special birthday party. The home was decorated beautifully for the occasion, and our kitchen team put on a delicious spread to mark the day.

Margaret, who has been part of our home for several years, was beaming throughout the celebration. When asked her secret to a long life, she smiled and said, “I’ve lived this long because I have an amazing family—and I never say no to a cheesy puff or a Wotsit!”

Her sense of humour and warmth lit up the room, and everyone who attended felt privileged to be part of such a milestone. One member of staff shared, “It was such a heartwarming day. Margaret is a joy to be around and still has a sparkle in her eye. We were so proud to celebrate her.”

Another Resident remarked, “It’s not every day you meet someone who’s 102! Margaret is an inspiration to us all.”

As the party wound down, Margaret was surrounded by birthday cards, balloons, and the smiling faces of those who love her most. It was a day full of stories, hugs, and treasured memories.

Here’s to Margaret—102 years young, and still making us all laugh. What a life, and what a celebration!
