Celebrating Dedication and Togetherness at Ryland View Care Home’s Garden Party

Ryland View Care Home recently hosted a joyful Garden Party and Staff Appreciation Day, bringing together residents, staff, families, and members of the community to celebrate dedication, connection, and summer sunshine.

The event featured live music from the incredible Mel Day, a lively selection of stalls filled with goodies, hot food and drinks, a tombola, and a visit from an ice cream van—all set against the backdrop of a beautifully decorated garden. Residents mingled with loved ones and colleagues as laughter, music, and the scent of summer treats filled the air.

But the true highlight of the day was the Staff Appreciation Ceremony, where long-serving team members—some with over two decades of service—were honoured for their unwavering dedication to the Ryland View family. The ceremony was led by Home Manager Rico Cruz and Ian Brown from Advinia’s HR team, who made a special appearance to recognise and thank the team.

“Today, we gather to celebrate and honour a remarkable milestone,” said Ian. “It is with great pleasure and pride that we recognise the individuals who have committed themselves to Ryland View for many years. These individuals have played an instrumental role in the growth and success of this care home.”

Rico added, “Your years of service are not just a number—they are a testament to your commitment and genuine care for our residents at Ryland View.”

Certificates and trophies were presented to the long-serving staff, recognising between 20 and 28 years of outstanding service. The awards sparked emotional responses from staff and residents alike.

• S.K (Registered Nurse): “I am very proud of my variety of job roles here over the past 21 years. I really enjoyed our party—it was nice to see all our staff and residents happy.”

• D.W (Housekeeping Assistant): “It was a really good day. Great to see the residents happy.”

• Becki (Chef Manager): “The love and support in our home is shown on days like this. The smiles on the residents’ faces make all the hard work worthwhile.”

• Shell (Cook): “What a lovely turnout it was—and so special to see the staff recognised for all these years.”

• B.K (Senior Carer): “Our Wellbeing Co-ordinator was so energetic and helpful with all aspects of today’s events. A big thank you to Sarah and Nayla.”

Residents were equally delighted by the event:
