Eight Staff Members From Cloisters Care Home Mark a Decade of Dedicated Service

4 May 2026

Cloisters care home hosted an extra special celebration for eight members of the team who’ve all clocked up ten years of service.

The Care Home held a party for colleagues Bhanumat Motivaras, Bharti Kamle, Aji James, Cathrien Ghulam Masih, Pemba Kshiring, Karchung Gurung, Mercy Tunmore, and Vikki Robinson to celebrate their remarkable commitment to the home.

The joyful event included voucher presentations, party games, and some extra-special awards for other members of the team.

Home Manager Betty Madamidola said that it was a wonderful way to show her devoted team how much they are appreciated.

Betty said: “In a sector like care, it’s rare that people stay at the same home for a long time, so to have eight members of staff reaching their ten-year anniversary with us is remarkable.

“It’s very moving to see how much they care about the residents and the way they work with their colleagues to create a fantastic, homely atmosphere at Cloisters.

“You don’t often get a chance to take a moment to relax and have some fun, so it was great to host this party and say thank you.

Among the playful honours given out alongside the long service ones was a ‘Keeping Cool’ Award for Emmanuel, for his reaction to stressful situations, and a ‘Running Queen’ recognition for Laxmi for her speedy navigating of the home.

Meanwhile, Aruba took home the ‘I Am Hungry’ recognition for her insatiable appetite, and Pomba got the ‘Sweet Treats’ Award for single-handedly keeping the confectionery industry in business to treat her colleagues.

Betty added: “We have some wonderful people in our team, and we wanted to make them laugh by rewarding the attributes that make us smile and bring happiness to the home.

“I’m glad we got the chance to have such a lovely day together, and thanks again to everyone at Cloisters who gives our care home such a big heart.”
