Exciting New Chapter for Hammerwich Hall Care Home
25 September 2025
Hammerwich Hall Care Home is entering a brand-new era, with a full refurbishment, a dedicated new leadership team, and exciting partnerships bringing joy to residents this festive season.
The home is currently undergoing major improvements, including en-suite bedrooms, a new cinema room, a welcoming tea room, stylish new furniture, a dedicated activities room, and beautifully refreshed décor throughout. These upgrades are designed to create a warm, modern environment where residents can feel truly at home.
Alongside the refurbishment, Kerrie Carpenter has been appointed as the new Home Manager. Kerrie, who has worked at Hammerwich Hall for seven years, said:
“I left for 18 months to work in another home, and what an eye-opener it was. I knew Hammerwich was where I belonged, and I am honoured to now be Home Manager here. We’re building strong links with the local community, and I’m so proud of what we’re achieving together.”
Sophie Botfield, who has been part of Hammerwich Hall for over 14 years, has also stepped into the role of Team Manager. Sophie shared:
“I started as a kitchen assistant and have worked my way up to Team Manager. I want Hammerwich Hall to thrive, and I’m committed to ensuring person-centred care is delivered to the highest standards.”
The home has built meaningful partnerships with local businesses, including donations of Christmas trees, cakes, meals, and festive treats from Tesco, Morrisons, Dobbies, and Dunelm. Residents can also look forward to a packed events calendar, from Diwali celebrations in October to a Christmas fete, carol services, and school visits in December.
With exciting changes, a passionate leadership team, and strong community support, Hammerwich Hall Care Home is set to thrive as a place where residents feel connected, safe, and truly at home.
