Families Invited to a Fun Summer Fete at Hill View care Home
12 June 2026
Hill View Care Home hopes to ease the cost for families looking for ways to entertain their children this summer by hosting a free day of fun.
The team at Hillview Care Home on Singer Road are throwing open their doors for the event on Saturday 4th July, featuring visiting llamas, a bouncy castle, children’s games, and live music.
They are also appealing to local businesses and individuals to help them stock the prize table at their tombola, the proceeds of which will be used to stage activities for their residents.
Wellbeing Co-ordinator Zena Feal-Martinez says the team is excited to welcome the community and give families a lovely, low-cost experience for their little ones.
Zena said: “We know that the cost of living makes it a real challenge for parents to fund family days out so hopefully our fantastic fete will be a lovely way to spend the afternoon together without breaking the bank.
“We’re working hard to bring together as many fun-filled experiences on the day as possible, and there will be something for all ages to enjoy – including a beer tent for the adults.
“We really hope that local businesses will get behind this and donate to the tombola – although anyone can give us a prize for the table. Every penny we raise goes to the residents’ fund, which we use to give them wonderful activities and experiences.”
The event will kick off at midday on 4th July at the Advinia Healthcare Home and promises to have a feel-good festival atmosphere.
Zena added: “We’ve got the live music, we’ve got the face painting, and we’ve got a beer tent, so it’ll have a fabulous festival vibe.
“So bring your children, bring your friends, bring a chair, and promise to give you a day to remember!”
