Goldielea Care Home Hosts Joyful Intergenerational Easter Celebration
26 May 2025
Goldielea Care Home was full of smiles and springtime spirit on Tuesday as residents enjoyed a lively Easter celebration with children from Cargenbridge Primary School and the Inclusion Hub. The visit formed part of the home’s ongoing Easter festivities, which have brought colour and cheer over the past two weeks.
Ten children from Cargenbridge Primary and two from the Inclusion Hub joined residents for an interactive Easter egg hunt. The children were paired up and each team chose a resident as their captain. Together, they searched for numbered eggs hidden around the home’s grounds, returning them to their team captain to solve a fun Easter-themed puzzle. Using pictures and clues inside the eggs, teams had to figure out a mystery Easter word – a challenge that brought lots of laughter and teamwork across generations.
After the hunt, everyone enjoyed juice, biscuits, and mini Easter eggs, creating a warm, shared moment between the young visitors and the residents.
Adding to the joy of the day, local Tesco community champion Anne Croucher paid a special visit, accompanied by the Easter Bunny, and gifted Easter eggs to each resident. The thoughtful gesture brought huge smiles and was a highlight for many.
“Our residents had such a lovely day – they absolutely lit up around the children and loved every moment of the hunt,” said a staff member. “We’re so grateful to Anne and the Easter Bunny for the treats – it really made the day extra special.”
