Golfhill Care Home Turned Into Hawaii for the Day

Golfhill Care Home on Hanson Street, part of Advinia Healthcare, hosted the themed event to give residents a summer holiday experience without leaving Glasgow.
The day featured an authentic Hawaiian menu, including Huli Huli Chicken and Loco Moco, along with uplifting music and sunshine-filled activities.
Residents embraced the holiday spirit and described it as one of the most memorable summer events they have ever had.
Fellow resident Jim Buller, 78, added: “It was a smasher and one of my favourite holidays.”
Colin Smith, 61, said: “The drinks were so refreshing and I really enjoyed the music.”
Wellbeing co-ordinator Carol Dymock said the day was a “huge success.”
Carol said: “Everyone deserves to have a summer holiday – and where better than Hawaii?
“It was a lot of fun to take the residents ‘away’ for the day, and we were so delighted with how much they enjoyed all aspects of the experience.
“Who knows where we might travel next?”
