On September 20th, Hammerwich Hall Care Home joyfully celebrated resident Pat’s milestone 100th birthday with a delightful party that brought together residents, staff, and family. The festivities kicked off with entertainer Paulo Pinto captivating everyone with his lively performance, filling the dining room with music, laughter, and dance.
The dining room was beautifully decorated with vibrant balloons and bunting, creating a festive atmosphere for all. At lunchtime, Pat and her fellow residents raised glasses of bubbly to toast the occasion, while Pat was presented with a freshly made Victoria sponge cake—her favourite—crafted by the talented catering team.
In addition to the cake, Pat received numerous thoughtful birthday gifts, including a sparkling tiara and a special stash, along with many heartfelt cards. Among these was the most treasured card of all, sent from the King and Queen, adding a royal touch to her celebrations. The festivities continued the following day as Pat enjoyed another party surrounded by her beloved family.
Residents shared their thoughts on the celebration, with Pat expressing her gratitude: “It was a wonderful party, thank you so much, and the singer was smashing!” Sally added, “It was a great party and singer; all of us had a fantastic time.” Katie, who is also a singer, chimed in, “I would love for Paulo to sing at my birthday too; he was very good!”
The day was a heartwarming reminder of the joy and community spirit at Hammerwich Hall Care Home, as everyone came together to celebrate Pat’s remarkable life and achievements.
