Hammerwich Hall Care Home Hosts Pink-Themed Coffee Morning for Breast Cancer Awareness
18 November 2024
Hammerwich Hall Care Home was awash with pink on October 18th as residents, staff, friends, and families gathered for a special coffee morning in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The event, held to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, was a testament to the care home’s commitment to creating meaningful moments of connection for its residents as part of Advinia’s “B Happie” initiative.
The home’s café was transformed into a vibrant pink haven, featuring balloon arches, ribbons, and bunting that set the tone for the morning. Everyone fully embraced the theme, dressing in pink to show their solidarity with those affected by breast cancer. The lively atmosphere was filled with warmth and laughter as guests enjoyed tea, cake, and heartfelt conversations.
The coffee morning successfully raised £164 for Macmillan Cancer Support, with donations pouring in from attendees who were eager to contribute to the cause.
Staff at Hammerwich expressed their pride in the community’s turnout and generosity: “We are so grateful to everyone who came along to support this cause. It’s heartwarming to see our residents, their families, and the wider community come together in such a meaningful way. Events like these not only raise vital funds but also strengthen the bonds we share.”
For Hammerwich Hall, the coffee morning was more than just a fundraising event; it was an opportunity to bring people together, create lasting memories, and reinforce the importance of community spirit. Hammerwich Hall extends its deepest thanks to all who attended, baked, donated, or helped make the event a success.
