Hammerwich Hall Hosts Coffee Morning in Support of St Giles Hospice
29 September 2025
On 27th August, Hammerwich Hall Care Home proudly hosted a coffee morning to raise funds for St Giles Hospice, bringing together residents, families, and friends for a wonderful cause.
The preparations began the day before, when residents joined Wellbeing Coordinator Paulina in baking delicious chocolate cupcakes, while Chef Manager Angie added her own touch with freshly baked lemon and ginger cupcakes. Relatives also contributed generously, donating homemade treats including apple pies and jam sponge cakes.
The event was held in the home’s beautifully decorated tea room and dining room, with fine china cups and plates adding a special touch. The house was adorned in orange, white, and blue, complete with a balloon arch, bunting, and banners, while staff and residents dressed in the same colours to show their support.
The morning was a huge success, with many relatives, residents, and friends coming together to enjoy good company, delicious cakes, and plenty of laughter — all while raising £160.51 for St Giles Hospice.
Paulina shared her gratitude, saying: “I am very pleased to see all the support and the good amount of money raised for such a worthy cause. Thank you to everyone for your donations.”
Hammerwich Hall is proud to support the vital work of St Giles Hospice and thanks everyone who helped make the day so memorable.
