Haydale Care Home Staff Shortlisted For National Award

19 January 2026

Isabel Cummings and Kirstin Millar, wellbeing co-ordinators at Haydale Care Home in Tollcross, have been recognised in the Digital Engagement category at the National Activity Providers Association (NAPA) Awards.

The nomination celebrates their efforts to keep residents connected and included through digital activities.

Following their nomination, the pair will attend a black-tie awards ceremony at the Liverpool Liner Hotel on Friday, January 23 where the winners will be announced.

Residents at Haydale have expressed their appreciation for Isabel and Kirstin, saying the nomination is “well deserved”.

Alice Softly, a resident at Haydale, said: “They do so much for us every day.

“Seeing them nominated this makes us all very proud”.

This isn’t the first time the dedicated wellbeing co-ordinators have been recognised on the national stage.

In 2023, they won a NAPA Award for Community Connections after launching Haydale Care Home’s own foodbank from a repurposed Covid visiting pod.

The project provided vital support to families during the cost-of-living crisis and quickly became a trusted community resource.

Richard Catahan, manager at Haydale Care Home, said: “Isabel and Kirstin consistently go above and beyond for our residents and the wider community.

“Their passion, especially for digital engagement, has made a real difference to people’s lives.

“Being nominated again at a national level is a fantastic achievement and thoroughly deserved.”

Supporters can follow the awards night live and find out whether the pair take home the award live on the Haydale Care Home Facebook page, where updates will be shared throughout the evening.
