Hillview Care Home Raises Funds at Biggest Ever Summer Fete

27 July 2026

Hillview Care Home was delighted to welcome residents, families, friends and members of the local community to its biggest Summer Fete yet, raising an incredible £820 for the home’s residents’ fund.

Despite the wet weather, the event attracted a fantastic turnout, with visitors enjoying a fun-filled day of entertainment, games and community spirit. The fete featured a bouncy castle, indoor games zone, delicious barbecue, food stalls and a popular tombola packed with generously donated prizes from local businesses. Special guests Rory and Fergus the llamas also proved to be a huge hit, bringing plenty of smiles to visitors of all ages.

Designed as an affordable day out for local families, the event gave the community the opportunity to come together while helping to raise funds that will support future activities and experiences for Hillview’s residents.

One visitor, Clydebank resident Jack O’Donnell, shared his praise for the event on Facebook after attending with his eight-year-old granddaughter. He described spending three enjoyable hours at the fete, highlighting the welcoming atmosphere, affordable food and donation-based activities that made it accessible for everyone.

The £820 raised will go directly towards the residents’ fund, helping to create more meaningful experiences, activities and events for those living at Hillview Care Home.

Zena Feal-Martinez, Wellbeing Co-ordinator at Hillview Care Home, said:

“We had an unbelievable response from our friends and neighbours in the local area, making this our best Summer Fete yet.

“We wanted to give them a day to remember but make sure it was affordable for all, and that saw loads of businesses and kind individuals donate brilliant prizes to the tombola. To know we raised so much money for the residents’ fund at the same time was the icing on the cake.

“Thank you to each and every person who worked so hard to make Hillview’s Summer Fete so special, especially the incredible team here, who pulled out all the stops.”

Everyone at Hillview Care Home would like to thank the local community, businesses, volunteers and team members whose generosity and support made the day such a wonderful success. The event was a fantastic celebration of community spirit and another example of the strong connections Hillview continues to build with families and neighbours across Clydebank.
