Local MP Visits Annan Court Care Home Amid Ongoing Refurbishments

Annan Court Care Home is undergoing a significant refurbishment, with all communal areas receiving a fresh update to improve the living experience for residents. The enhancements include redecoration, the installation of new handrails, and updated flooring, all aimed at creating a safer and more comfortable environment.

As part of the ongoing improvements, Mike Freer, non-executive director at Advinia, recently visited the home to see the progress firsthand. During his visit, he was also joined by local MP David Mundell, whom he guided through the newly refurbished spaces.

Mike Freer shared his thoughts on the visit: “As a non-executive director, I plan to visit as many of our care homes as possible. The visits allow me to see firsthand the facilities and to hear from residents and staff what we do well and what we could improve. I chose Annan Court, in Annan, for my first visit as I lived for several years in Annan and my parents spent the later years of their lives in Annan. I have many fond memories of my time in Annan. Before joining Advinia, I was the MP for Finchley & Golders Green and so it was also a pleasure to show the local MP and my former colleague, David Mundell MP, around the home.

The visit allowed me to see the progress of the home’s redecoration and to talk to our new Manager, who is brimming with energy and ideas on how to make Annan Court even better.”
