Longwood Grange Care Home Welcomes Local MP Paul Davies

28 July 2026

Residents and colleagues at Longwood Grange Care Home were delighted to welcome local Member of Parliament, Paul Davies, for a special visit to the home, offering an opportunity to showcase the compassionate care, vibrant community and meaningful relationships that make Longwood Grange such a welcoming place to live.

During his visit, Mr Davies enjoyed a tour of the home, spending time meeting residents in both their living areas and communal spaces. He took the opportunity to listen to their stories, memories and experiences, engaging in warm conversations that residents thoroughly enjoyed.

The visit also gave Mr Davies the chance to meet members of the dedicated care team and learn more about the person-centred care delivered every day at Longwood Grange. Discussions focused on the home’s commitment to promoting dignity, independence and wellbeing, while creating opportunities for residents to lead fulfilling and connected lives.

Throughout the visit, Mr Davies showed a genuine interest in the services provided by the home, the wide range of activities available to residents and the important role care homes play in supporting older people within the local community.

Residents welcomed the chance to meet their local MP, with many sharing their thoughts, opinions and life experiences. Visits such as these help strengthen links between the home and the wider community, encouraging residents to remain engaged with local life while giving community leaders valuable insight into the experiences of older people.

The visit reflected Longwood Grange’s ongoing commitment to building meaningful community connections and ensuring residents continue to feel heard, valued and included.

Everyone at Longwood Grange Care Home would like to thank Paul Davies MP for taking the time to visit. His interest in the residents, colleagues and the work carried out within the home was greatly appreciated, and the team looks forward to welcoming him back again in the future.
