Halloween Costume Hilarity Brings Joy To Longwood Grange

The spooky Halloween party at Longwood Grange got Residents laughing instead of cowering this year, thanks to the madcap costumes on display.

All Colleagues dressed up for the occasion as they competed in the Best Costume competition.

There were witches, werewolves, nuns and black cats among the eye-catching outfits on display.

But it was Jane, Longwood Grange’s administrator, who took home the title as she was unanimously chosen by Residents.

Deputy Manager Katherine Poppleton said there were plenty of thrills and spills for everyone to enjoy.

Katherine said: “Our Halloween party was terrific – we made sure all the Residents could get involved.

“We threw a Halloween party complete with a homemade buffet by Chef and lots of sweet treats.

“There was a disco, and later we watched some classic movies including Hocus Pocus and The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

“We made sure to go into the rooms for Residents who couldn’t join us at the main event, and they had a great laugh at our silly costumes and wigs.

“It was great to see everyone having a giggle – even if it was at our expense!”

The special Halloween disco featured Rocky Horror tracks, including the Time Warp and the Monster Mash, among other spooky tunes.

Katherine said: “We love a boogie, so it was great to dust off our dancing shoes.

“The Residents loved the party, and they can’t wait to see what we’ve got in store next year.”
