Love Fills the Air at Burrswood House on Valentine’s Day

Love was truly in the air at Burrswood House as we spread warmth and kindness throughout the home on this special Valentine’s Day. To show our appreciation and care, roses were given out to staff, visitors, and residents, ensuring everyone felt loved and valued.
A particularly thoughtful effort was made to bring joy to those in our dementia houses, some of whom may not recognize the day or the loved ones visiting. To make the occasion even more meaningful, flowers were made available throughout the day for relatives to give to their loved ones or for staff to present on their behalf.
One particularly touching moment occurred when a relative, upon receiving a rose, became tearful—not out of sadness, but because she was deeply moved by the heartfelt gesture. Moments like these highlighted the power of love and kindness in bringing comfort and joy.
The spirit of Valentine’s Day was further enhanced with music playing throughout the afternoon, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere. Staff and relatives embraced the occasion, enjoying the opportunity to spread love and celebrate meaningful connections.
At Burrswood House, Valentine’s Day was not just about romance—it was about reminding everyone that they are cherished, appreciated, and never alone.
