New Dawn for Ryland View as Sandwell Mayor Officially Reopens Our Refurbished Bloomfield Nursing Unit

It was a proud day for everyone here at Ryland View Care Home yesterday (11th August) as we welcomed the Mayor of Sandwell, Councillor Steve Melia, to officially reopen our beautifully refurbished Bloomfield Unit.

The Mayor joined residents, colleagues, and guests for the ribbon-cutting ceremony before spending time chatting with everyone and sharing in the celebrations. Bloomfield is one of three units at Ryland View and has recently undergone a complete transformation to make it brighter, more comfortable, and even more welcoming for those who call it home.

Members of the Advinia Health Care team, our property managers, and of course our wonderful staff and residents all came together to mark the special occasion. After the ribbon was cut, we enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea, activities, and plenty of laughter.

 

Our Wellbeing Coordinator, Sarah Gillies, said:
“The event was just brilliant – having the Mayor here made it such a special moment for our residents and team. The refurbishment means we can now move operations into Bloomfield while we start refreshing one of our other units. It’s all part of creating warm, comfortable spaces where our residents can truly feel at home.”

She added:
“By updating our facilities, we can give residents even more choice and continue to offer the highest standard of care. Seeing the Mayor open Bloomfield was a wonderful way to celebrate the hard work that’s gone into making it such a beautiful space.”

We would like to give a special thanks to our incredible property team – Darren, Paddy, and Tony – whose hard work and dedication brought our vision for Bloomfield to life.

The reopening of Bloomfield is the first step in our ongoing improvement plans at Ryland View – and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s to come.
