Parklands Court Care Home Celebrates Grand Opening of New Nursing Facility: Elmore House

Walsall, 9th May 2025 — Parklands Court Care Home proudly marked a new chapter in its journey today with the grand opening of Elmore House, a brand-new nursing care facility providing an additional 16 nursing beds for residents in the Walsall community.

The event, held at 11am, was attended by residents, relatives, and special guest Deputy Mayor of Walsall, Councillor Louise Harrison, who officially opened the unit by cutting the ceremonial ribbon. The celebrations included a lively performance by local singer Amy and a delicious buffet prepared by the home’s talented kitchen team.

The launch of Elmore House is the culmination of weeks of intense preparation and collaboration. Staff from across all departments worked tirelessly to ensure the new unit was ready to welcome its first residents. The newly refurbished space features beautifully designed interiors, thanks to Riley and his team at Edison & Day, whose furnishings added the perfect finishing touch.

Parklands Court now boasts four fully operational units, expanding its capacity and enhancing the level of care it can provide. Home Manager expressed heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in making the day a success:

“The last few days have been stressful getting everything ready, but we’ve pulled together as one incredible team. I want to thank our Deputy Director Lucy for her support, and a big shoutout to Ryan, Dave, and Paddy for handling all the last-minute jobs. To our care, housekeeping, laundry, and admin teams—thank you for helping clean, organise, and prepare the house to welcome our guests today. And of course, an extra special thanks to our amazing Deputy, Odette, who has worked tirelessly and gone above and beyond every day.”

The grand opening of Elmore House represents not only an expansion of services but a reaffirmation of Parklands Court’s dedication to delivering high-quality, person-centred care in a warm and welcoming environment.

With four units now open and a team united in purpose, Parklands Court Care Home continues to be a shining example of compassionate care in the heart of Walsall.
