Parklands Court Care Home Wears Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Day
27 October 2025
The community spirit shone bright, and pink, at Parklands Court Care Home, as residents, staff, and families came together for a special Coffee Morning in the Samuel House Lounge to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Day.
The event was a warm and heartfelt gathering, filled with conversation, reflection, and support. With cups of coffee, homemade cakes, and plenty of pink outfits, everyone joined together to raise awareness and honour those affected by breast cancer, including members of the Parklands community who have bravely faced the disease themselves.
Allie, Activity Coordinator, shared:
“We wanted to do today as we know for many across Parklands this is something they have been fighting. We wanted to all come together to spend some quality time together to reflect or share our own journeys.”
Jess, Admin, added:
“It has been a wonderful morning with all of us together wearing pink and having a cuppa and a cake to sit together and support those that have been through this awful journey. One thing you can say about Parklands, is we are a team who supports one another!”
Residents also enjoyed the morning of togetherness, with Gwen saying:
“It’s been lovely, seeing all the staff and others wearing pink. I enjoy a lovely cup of coffee and a jam tart, yum!”
The event served as a touching reminder of the compassion, strength, and unity that define life at Parklands Court, showing that when it comes to raising awareness and offering support, the Parklands family always stands together.
