The day was a wonderful example of how Parklands Court continues to support important causes while creating joyful, inclusive experiences for everyone in the home.
Parklands Court Comes Together to Support Children in Need
7 January 2026
Parklands Court Care Home recently came together to raise awareness for Children in Need, enjoying a fun-filled day that brought residents and staff together for a very meaningful cause.
Everyone embraced the occasion by dressing up and taking part in a range of themed activities throughout the day. Residents and staff also enjoyed icing delicious biscuits together, sharing plenty of laughter and smiles — clear signs that the day was thoroughly enjoyed by all involved.
Posters were displayed around the home to help raise awareness and encourage families and friends to support the cause, helping everyone feel part of the wider Children in Need campaign.
Louise, Wellbeing Coordinator, said:
“What a fun day. It’s so lovely to see all the staff and residents joining together to celebrate such an important event — well done, Parklands!”
Resident John shared how inclusive the day felt, adding:
“I didn’t have anything for Children in Need, but our activities staff went above and beyond to get us included. We made polka dots for us all to wear so we could take part. It’s been a day full of smiles.”
Jayne, Head Housekeeper, also praised the team spirit on display, saying:
“How lovely seeing everyone joining together to raise awareness for such a good cause. One thing you can guarantee about Parklands is that we will always pull together — we are such a great team!”
