Parklands Court Dances the Afternoon Away with Matt Clay

Parklands Court Care Home came alive on Monday afternoon as residents, staff, family members, and friends gathered for a lively performance by singer Matt Clay. The afternoon was filled with music, dancing, and laughter as everyone came together to enjoy a special event that truly embodied our B Happie values.

The care team, activities staff, admin colleagues, and families all joined forces to create a warm, vibrant atmosphere. Wellbeing and fitness were at the heart of the afternoon, with staff encouraging residents to get up, dance, and move to the beat. Smiles filled the room as residents and their loved ones shared the joy of music.

Resident Dorothy said: “I’ve had a lovely afternoon dancing with Jess — we really had a boogie!” Fellow resident Joyce added: “I love to get up and dance, I will do it at any opportunity, and the singer was great.”

Allie from the Activities Team praised the performance: “We love having Matt Clay with us here at Parklands — it really brings our home together so we can enjoy some quality time with our residents.”

Even Matt himself was blown away: “Wow, what a show. Everyone was up and dancing, it’s been fantastic!”
