Residents at Parklands Court Care Home Enjoy Interactive Fun with New Digital Activity Board
6 February 2026
Residents and staff had a fantastic morning at the home recently as they explored a brand-new interactive activity board, designed to encourage engagement, stimulation, and shared enjoyment.
The interactive board was quickly embraced by residents, who took part in a variety of activities including colouring pictures, completing word searches, solving jigsaw puzzles, and even enjoying a lively and competitive game of virtual bowling. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, conversation, and friendly competition as residents cheered each other on and shared in the fun.
One of the key benefits of the new board is its flexibility. Mounted on wheels, it can be easily moved around the home, allowing more residents to take part and ensuring activities are accessible to everyone. The board is packed with a wide range of games, puzzles, and sensory activities, meaning sessions can be tailored to suit different interests, abilities, and support needs.
Residents were extremely impressed by the technology and the variety it offers. One resident shared, “I didn’t realise how much there was to do on it — it’s great fun and really gets you thinking.” Another added, “I loved the bowling game, it made us all laugh.”
Staff also highlighted the positive impact the board is already having. A member of the team commented, “It’s wonderful to see residents so engaged and interacting together. The board encourages conversation, teamwork, and confidence, and it’s brilliant that we can move it around the home to include everyone.”
The new interactive board is already proving to be a valuable addition, supporting wellbeing through fun, meaningful, and inclusive activities that residents can enjoy together.
