Residents Dance and Sing at Haydale Care Home’s Vinyl Party

Haydale Care Home’s lounge was transformed into a vintage music haven, with residents selecting their favourite records and enjoying a morning of dancing.

The lively celebration was punctuated by spirited singalongs and plenty of waltzing, led by wellbeing coordinator Isabel Cummings.

She said: “Music has such a powerful way of unlocking memories and lifting spirits – you could see it in every smile today.”

Long-time music lover, Jean McNamara, whose favourite artist is Dean Martin, said: “When I hear Dean, it makes me feel young again.”

The day was a joyful celebration filled with laughter and the crackle of vinyl, providing an opportunity for residents to reminisce about their treasured pasts.
