Rutherglen Care Home Celebrates Burns Day with Joyful Concert

Residents, families, and staff of Rutherglen Care Home came together for a heartwarming Burns Day concert held in Dryburgh House. The event was a true celebration of Scottish culture, filled with music, dancing, and community spirit.
The highlight of the afternoon was a lively performance by singer and guitarist Sharon Stevens, who entertained everyone with a selection of classic Scottish songs. Residents and guests enthusiastically joined in, singing along to beloved tunes such as I Belong to Glasgow, Northern Lights of Aberdeen, and The Wee Hoose Under the Stairs.
The uplifting atmosphere saw many residents dancing and clapping along, with smiles all around. Resident Margaret Mullaney shared her delight, saying, “A great afternoon, enjoyed dancing.” Her sentiment was echoed by many, as the music lifted spirits and brought joy to all in attendance.
