Ryland View Care Home Hosts Fun-Filled Physical Therapy Session for Residents
28 January 2025
Ryland View Care Home held an engaging physical therapy session with Naomi, where both residents and their families came together to focus on maintaining mobility and strength. The atmosphere was lively and full of joy, as participants not only took part in the exercises but also sang along to the upbeat music that accompanied the session.
It was heartwarming to see everyone actively involved, as maintaining mobility is a key priority for the residents, even if it’s just a small movement. “Well done to all our residents for taking part and giving their best effort,” said Sarah, the Activities Coordinator.
Residents shared their experiences of the session with enthusiasm: Margaret, a resident who cannot use her legs, expressed, “I have really enjoyed moving my arms. It feels great to be able to move, even if just a little.” George, another resident, commented, “I really enjoyed these exercises. It was fun and uplifting.”
Trevor was all smiles throughout the activity, which was noticed by fellow participants and staff.
The event also brought joy to families visiting, with Lynn, the daughter of a resident, sharing her appreciation: “This is lovely, Sarah. It’s wonderful to see all the residents involved, and I’ve enjoyed myself too.”
The afternoon was a perfect reminder of the importance of staying active and maintaining a sense of community, making it a memorable event for both residents and their families.
