22 September 2026
Residents and colleagues at Ryland View Care Home came together on 9th September to celebrate International Emergency Services Day and thank the dedicated people who help keep their community safe.
The home was delighted to welcome members of the local Fire Service alongside a Community First Responder representing West Midlands Ambulance Service. The visitors spent time chatting with residents, sharing stories and offering an insight into the important work they carry out every day.
The celebration continued with a special afternoon tea in Ryland View’s Community Café. Residents, colleagues and guests enjoyed delicious treats, warm conversation and plenty of smiles together.
One resident said: “It was lovely to meet them and hear about the work they do. We are very grateful to everyone in the emergency services.”
A highlight of the afternoon came when residents stepped outside to see the fire engine up close, creating plenty of excitement and happy memories.
A member of the Ryland View team added: “It was a wonderful afternoon filled with community spirit and connection. Our residents thoroughly enjoyed meeting our visitors and having the opportunity to thank them personally.”
Everyone at Ryland View would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the local Fire Service, the Community First Responder and all emergency services personnel for their dedication—and for making the celebration so memorable.
