Sky-High Fundraiser: Tanya and Natalie’s 13,000ft Skydive for Bishops Cleeve Care Home
1 September 2025
Hinton Airfield, August 19, 2025 — The skies above Gloucestershire were filled with excitement on Tuesday as Bishop’s Cleeve Care Home’s staff members, Tanya and Natalie took a courageous leap from 13,000 feet, all in the name of charity. The duo completed a tandem skydive at Hinton Skydiving Centre to raise funds for the residents of Bishops Cleeve Care Home — and their efforts are being celebrated across the community.
With nerves of steel and hearts full of purpose, Tanya and Natalie soared through the clouds, experiencing freefall speeds of up to 120mph before safely landing to cheers from supporters on the ground.
The skydive was not only a thrilling personal achievement, but a heartfelt initiative to support wellbeing activities, outings, and enhanced care experiences for residents at Bishops Cleeve Care Home.
“It was one of the best experiences of my life,” she said. “Our feet may be back on the ground, but we’re still on cloud nine. The support we’ve received has been incredible, and knowing it’s all going to make a difference for our residents makes it even more special.”
The fundraising target has already seen generous contributions from families, staff, and the wider community, and donations continue to pour in following the successful jump.
Natalie added that while the skydive was a personal challenge, the motivation to improve the lives of those in their care kept them focused — and fearless.
