St. Peter’s Catholic School Brings Christmas Cheer to Parklands Court
1 December 2025
Christmas celebrations began early at Parklands Court Care Home as children from St. Peter’s Catholic School visited on Thursday 20th November to sing Christmas carols for residents.
The home was filled with festive spirit as the children’s voices brought warmth, joy, and nostalgia to residents, many of whom were moved by the familiar songs and the energy the young performers brought. Intergenerational connections are an important part of Parklands Court’s commitment to community wellbeing, and visits like these beautifully bridge the gap between generations.
Residents shared how meaningful the experience was.
Adelaide said: “I have loved having the children come in and sing. I used to sing in church when I was younger, so this has brought back loads of memories!”
Gwen added: “I have really enjoyed this, thank you!”
Dominique, Wellbeing Coordinator, explained the importance of visits like this:
“We wanted to bring the children in so our residents can enjoy our intergenerational link-ups, which we hope will become a regular thing. St. Peter’s kindly offered to come and have said they would love to return over the Christmas period, which is fantastic! We love being able to make our residents smile.”
The visit marked a wonderful start to the festive season and strengthened a meaningful connection between Parklands Court and the local school community.
