Stonedale Lodge and Bank View School: A Heartwarming Partnership

Over the past few months, Stonedale Lodge has developed a wonderful and meaningful relationship with Bank View School, an all-age special school for students with complex learning difficulties. Their visits have brought immense joy to our residents, and we are grateful for their kindness and generosity.

This growing friendship was beautifully highlighted during the festive season when two minibuses full of Bank View students arrived at Stonedale Lodge, each carrying handmade Christmas cards for every resident. The students visited each resident personally, spreading holiday cheer and warmth. Their visit was made even more special by a heartwarming Christmas performance, where they sang classic holiday songs, filling the home with joy and festive spirit.

Continuing this wonderful connection, the students returned on Valentine’s Day for a special Valentine’s Bingo event. The students not only brought stunning prizes but also helped our residents play bingo, making sure everyone had a fantastic time. Their dedicated teacher, Jenn, took on the role of bingo caller, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere. The event was a resounding success, with residents Ronnie and Rosie winning prizes and feeling overjoyed with their winnings.

After the bingo, the students delighted us with a talent show, showcasing their incredible skills and boosting their confidence in performing before an audience. Both staff and residents thoroughly enjoyed every moment, cheering on the talented young performers.

The bond between Stonedale Lodge and Bank View School continues to strengthen, and we are thrilled to have been invited to visit their school in April for an Easter Bingo event. This upcoming visit is highly anticipated by our residents, and we cannot wait to share more joyful moments with these incredible students.
