Tai Chi Exercise Classes Begin at Parklands Court
1 December 2025
Parklands Court Care Home is excited to introduce Tai Chi exercise classes, now taking place twice a month to support residents’ physical health, mobility, and overall wellbeing. Led by instructor Chris, the sessions have already become a hit with residents on Marlborough House, who eagerly joined in for their first classes.
Residents took part in gentle Tai Chi–style stretches designed to support mobility and flexibility, as well as fun coordination activities such as throwing and catching a ball together. The sessions encourage teamwork, independence, and confidence while promoting strength, balance, cardiovascular health, and cognitive function.
The response has been overwhelmingly positive, with residents looking forward to Chris’s next visit.
Allie, Wellbeing Co-ordinator, said:
“This is such a fun and proactive class to ensure our residents maintain gentle exercise to help improve their mobility. It promotes their independence, which is everything we strive for at Parklands!”
Resident Joyce added:
“I have really enjoyed this, I love anything active.”
These uplifting Tai Chi sessions are already making a meaningful difference, helping residents stay active, engaged, and energised.
