The Priory Care Home Celebrates Care Home Open Week with Music, Community and Special Birthday Celebrations
25 June 2026
Residents, families, and colleagues at The Priory Care Home have been celebrating a memorable June, with Care Home Open Week providing the perfect opportunity to bring the community together through music, friendship, and special occasions.
The week was filled with enjoyable activities designed to encourage social connection and create lasting memories. One of the highlights was a lively afternoon of entertainment from Juan at Care Home Activities, whose performance had residents singing along, clapping to the music, and dancing together.
The home also hosted a welcoming community coffee morning, where relatives, visitors, residents, and staff enjoyed spending quality time together over tea, coffee, and conversation. During the event, guests were invited to the official unveiling of the home’s newly refreshed garden, which has been transformed into a peaceful outdoor space for residents to relax, socialise, and enjoy throughout the summer months. Families praised the beautiful new surroundings, with many looking forward to making the most of the garden during future visits.
The celebrations continued with two very special birthdays as residents June and Olive marked another year surrounded by friends and loved ones. The home’s talented chef prepared two beautifully decorated homemade birthday cakes, which were enjoyed by everyone during the celebrations.
To make the day even more memorable, both June and Olive received thoughtful gift bags from everyone at The Priory, filled with toiletries, sweet treats, and little surprises to mark the occasion.
One resident commented: “It’s been such a lovely few weeks. We’ve had music, cake, family visits and lots of laughter. You couldn’t ask for more.”
The events perfectly captured the warm and welcoming spirit of The Priory Care Home, where meaningful experiences, community connections, and celebrating life’s special moments remain at the heart of everyday life.
