Commitment to Quality

We are committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care in every one of our homes. To demonstrate this commitment, we share a range of independent and transparent quality measures, including regulatory inspections, internal reviews, benchmark scores, and real feedback from the people who matter most: residents and their families. These insights help us reflect on our progress, celebrate what’s working, and focus on where we can do even better.

Open Score

Open Score is a third-party care quality benchmark developed by Championing Social Care. It combines CQC ratings, family feedback, staff experience, and internal metrics to provide a broader view of performance. Elderslie Care Home’s score is updated quarterly and offers a balanced perspective beyond regulatory ratings alone.

Latest Inspection Report

At all our care homes, we have aligned and agreed our strategic goals to define what we want our organisation to achieve.

Care Inspectorate inspected our service in 2024 and at that time rated the home ‘Good’.

Since this inspection, a huge amount has changed within the home. We recommend that you contact the home to find out what changes are in place now. Family feedback and reviews in 2024 and 2025 to date has been fantastic with many excellent reviews for the care, service and team members.

Person-centred care

We like to think of ourselves as one big family here at Elderslie where we treat each Resident with dignity, respect and compassion. Personalised, electronic care plans are developed by Colleagues, alongside the Resident and next of kin where possible. All interactions and support provided to Residents are electronically noted as they take place, meaning Colleagues are able to spend more time with Residents rather than writing up notes.

We have onsite physiotherapy where trained professionals help keep Residents moving, building their strength and even rebuilding movement. We’re also developing a calming ‘Namaste’ room, offering therapy for Residents living with advanced dementia. Here, Residents will be able to access music therapy, massage and multi-sensory therapies, providing pleasure and aiding communication.

Living life to the full

Friendship and social interaction are paramount to positive wellbeing for all of us. This is why at Elderslie we have a dedicated activity planner for each of the 4 communities at the Home, which includes lively quizzes, movie nights, tea parties and karaoke to name but a few.

We have a variety of clubs, including gardening and book clubs and we have recently launched a walking group. We also have a whole host of regular entertainers who are invited into the Home and our in-home bar can also be a hub of evening social activity.
