High-Quality Care
The safety and wellbeing of Residents is always our number one priority and our commitment to consistently provide high-quality, person-centred care for all Residents, irrespective of the complexity of their healthcare needs, is central to that promise.
We Work in Partnership with our Regulators
Advinia Health Care Homes are regulated by the Care Quality Commission in England and the Care Inspectorate in Scotland. We work closely with both regulatory bodies to ensure that we meet their operational standards for all assessment criteria.
We meet with them regularly to discuss the latest issues and trends in health and social care and to share our plans on how we intend to continuously improve the quality of the care we provide.
We Monitor the Standards of Care We Provide
Advinia has its own internal Clinical Governance Committee, comprised of the Company’s most senior management and clinicians, which develops and reviews policies, responds to research initiatives and consults regularly with academics and other health and social care professionals as well as country regulators.
The company has a rigorous Quality Assurance Framework, supported by a sophisticated IT Governance system, which schedules and reviews internal audits and helps generate and monitor plans to further improve the standards of care we provide.
Our dedicated team of highly experienced and skilled Quality & Compliance Managers regularly visit, inspect and support all our Homes in their goal to continuously improve the quality of our care provision.
Infection Control
All Advinia Homes follow enhanced infection prevention and control policies, and our teams remain alert to the impact of COVID-19 and any other possible infection concerns, at all times. The extra measures in place for infection control include ‘deep cleans’ of key areas in our Homes, rigorous and more frequent housekeeping and cleaning schedules plus extensive handwashing. We have conducted many additional training sessions and audits around these extra measures.
We were prepared to respond early and quickly to the COVID-19 pandemic, well before the initial government lockdown, with the implementation of enhanced infection control measures. We also introduced an additional training course for all Colleagues around COVID-19 to ensure they were fully informed about the virus and how it affected the way they provided care to Residents.
How We Ensure Residents and Colleagues Stay Safe
We rigorously follow both national and local Public Health / Health Protection guidelines and are in regular contact with all the local Public Health teams so that we stay abreast of all fast-moving developments.
All Advinia Care Homes have a well thought out and detailed Contingency Plan and they are supported by Advinia right the way to the top of the company. Our Senior Response Team (SRT) meets regularly and supports all Homes, as needed. This team ensures that all the appropriate policies, procedures, resources and equipment are in place to provide the best possible care for Residents.
In addition to frequent testing for COVID-19, we are continuing to check the health of our Colleagues, to safeguard their own health and that of Residents, by checking temperatures and looking for symptoms before they start work and sending home those with potential symptoms.
Investing in our Colleagues
All Colleagues are regularly required to refresh their detailed Infection Control and Prevention training and training on the correct usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). We continue to ensure that all Homes have ample supplies of all appropriate PPE right across each Home.
We have made significant investments in our training programmes and use a sophisticated blended approach to learning and development through our sector-leading bespoke online Learning Management System as well as interactive workshops, competency assessments and coaching and mentoring. This ensures our Colleagues regularly achieve the highest level of training in all the core subjects across the elderly care sector.
Providing Feedback on Our Homes
We regularly monitor the standard of care our teams provide and the quality of all Advinia Homes. Our person-centred approach to care means there is always some way we can develop the care we provide to better suit the needs of Residents. We welcome feedback from Residents and their families, as well as our Colleagues.
We encourage feedback to be provided at Home level, directly to each Home Manager who is always available to discuss the standard of care being provided.
There are feedback forms available within each Home’s reception, or alternatively if you would like to speak with someone in our Support Office then you can use the following details: Tel: 020 8371 7810 or email: admin.team@advinia.com
