It truly was a magical afternoon, filled with smiles, song, and special memories that will be treasured by residents, staff, and families alike.
A Musical Afternoon to Remember Brings Joy to the Home
16 December 2025
On 6th December, residents and staff were treated to a truly special Musical Afternoon to Remember, as two very special guests, Raine and Lynne, kindly visited the home to share their love of music. As family members of one of our residents, and talented musicians, they brought with them a wonderful sense of warmth, energy, and nostalgia.
Raine and Lynne, who perform together as part of a band, delighted everyone with a lively selection of songs spanning the 1940s through to the 1960s. The familiar melodies quickly filled the room, encouraging residents and staff alike to sing along, tap their feet, and smile as memories were brought flooding back.
The atmosphere throughout the afternoon was full of joy and connection. Alongside the singing, residents were invited to try their hand at playing the cajón, a percussion instrument that sparked plenty of laughter and excitement. Many residents embraced the opportunity to join in, enjoying both the rhythm and the shared fun of learning something new together.
The afternoon created a wonderful sense of togetherness, with music acting as a bridge between generations and experiences. It was clear to see how much everyone enjoyed the chance to be immersed in live music, movement, and shared moments.
