A Royal Celebration: Hazel Turns 100 at Maycroft Care Home

There was joy, laughter, and even a royal touch as Maycroft Care Home celebrated a truly remarkable milestone — Hazel’s 100th birthday!

The team pulled out all the stops to honour Hazel on her special day, and the entire home came alive with celebration. The day began with a heartfelt serenade from Maycroft’s very own singing manager, Neshie, setting the tone for the festivities ahead.

Hazel was joined by her loving family, including relatives who had travelled all the way from America to mark this incredible occasion. One of the biggest highlights was the arrival of a very special card from King Charles and Queen Camilla — a moment that filled the room with excitement and pride.

Entertainment from Polly’s Music had everyone dancing, singing, and smiling from ear to ear. A favourite lunch of fish and chips from the local shop was served, followed by generous slices of birthday cake that everyone enjoyed.

As the evening drew in and the home quietened down, Hazel sat peacefully reading through her mountain of birthday cards — tired, but beaming with happiness.
