Advinia Hospitality Forum Showcases Service Standards, Innovation, and Chef Excellence

CEO Steve Baker joined members of the Senior Management Team, chefs and suppliers at Advinia’s Hospitality Forum in Gloucester on Thursday.
The event was kindly hosted by Creed Foods in their conference space and barn, set in the beautiful countryside on the grounds of the owner’s home.
Head of Hospitality, Mark Dale, and Hospitality Development Manager, Richard Smith, proudly launched Advinia’s Service Standards. They shared the exciting vision which includes crockery (including dementia friendly crockery), development days, and the roll out plan which will result in all Homes  raising the bar in promoting dignity, resident choice and presentation.
Our partners from Creed and from EF Group gave us market updates, shared impressive new technological advances and portal developments that will assist our chef teams and improve the resident experience. They explained their company values and how they support Advinia Healthcare 365 days a year.
We were also joined by Chef from various services – Mark from Stonedale, Piotr from Bishops Cleeve, Becky from Ryland View and Alejandro from Oxford Manor. They told us about their journey working at Advinia and how they have progressed to become chef managers and now proudly excel in their roles.
The Hospitality Team announced the launch of a new annual competition – Advinia Chef of the Year – a wonderful new initiative to recognise excellence in the kitchen, Nominations will be open soon!
Paul Lawson, Head of Sales and Marketing, provided an update on our ground-breaking Resident and Colleague initiatives – A Day to Remember and Heroes of Happieness – and showed us some of the lucky recipients of these awards to date.
In the true spirit of B Happie we celebrated and thanked Mark McGuffee, Chef Manager at Stonedale Lodge, with a Heroes of Happiness award presented by Operations Director in the North, Nicola Diamond. Mark’s outstanding efforts were recently reflected in his sixth consecutive 5-Star “Scores on the Doors” rating from the local Environmental Health Office – a remarkable achievement that demonstrates his consistency and passion for excellence.
