Advinia’s Wellbeing Forum: Haydale Care Home Hosts Inaugural Event
10 April 2024
Today marked a significant milestone for Haydale Care Home as they hosted the first-ever Advinia’s Wellbeing Forum, welcoming wellbeing staff from across the Scottish region. The forum, aimed at fostering collaboration and sharing best practices, saw a diverse range of attendees come together to exchange ideas and insights.
Highlighting the importance of the event was the presence of guest speaker Paul Lawson, Advinia’s National Sales Manager, who provided valuable insights into his role and how he can support the wellbeing teams in achieving their goals.
The forum, slated to be held quarterly at various homes, serves as a vital platform for staff to brainstorm and innovate, sharing ideas to enhance resident environments and support one another in their roles. Linda from Craigbank Care Home added a flavourful touch to the event by treating attendees to a delicious curry lunch.
Looking ahead, we are optimistic that these forums will play a pivotal role in elevating the effectiveness of wellbeing teams, ultimately enriching the lives of residents under their care.
Paul Lawson expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, stating, “We are lucky to have many, many years of experience and expertise within our Wellbeing and Activities teams, and this was a fabulous opportunity to bring all the Care Homes together and share our knowledge. We had colleagues with 20 years experience alongside colleagues who are only 2 weeks into their roles! The aim is to enrich the lives of the Residents with a varied schedule of activities and our forum allowed us to discuss these in great detail. Everyone who attended left with more useful contacts and a whole load of fresh new ideas.”
The inaugural Advinia’s Wellbeing Forum at Haydale Care Home sets a promising precedent for future gatherings, underlining the commitment of Advinia to fostering excellence in resident care through collaboration and innovation.
