Animal Magic Brings Joy To Mill View Residents

Pet therapy has become a regular fixture on the Mill View activities schedule – thanks to a trio of canine companions and a loveable rabbit.

Residents can pet and play with the furry quartet regularly, thanks to their kind-hearted owners.

While Lenny the rabbit lives on-site and spends time with Residents at the nursing unit, the dogs all come in for visits.

The dogs include Freddo the Shitzu, Cocker Spaniel Charlie and Bella the Pomeranian.

House Manager Amy Turner – Charlie’s owner – said that Residents get a lot of joy from spending time with the pets.

Amy said: “Residents absolutely love our pets, it’s lovely to see them spending time together.

“Charlie is able to help with sensory therapy, Freddo does playful therapy, and Bella combines the two types.

“You’ll see the impact on Residents after the dogs have been here a short time, it’s really nice to know they make a difference.”
