Bedford Resident George Turns Recruiter!
12 May 2022

A new role has been created for Bedford Resident George – he’s the Home’s new recruitment advisor.
George was delighted when Home Manager Kelly Buckley asked him if he’d like to join a panel interviewing potential new recruits.
Kelly believed that George could ask essential questions of applicants and give them insight into working at Bedford.
Thrilled, George agreed and has been taking his new role very seriously, according to Activities Co-ordinator Eileen Evans.
Eileen said: “George is very proud to be involved in the interviews.
“He’s a lovely person with good judgement and a great sense of humour.
“When candidates meet George, he likes to ask about where they worked before and why they want to take a role at Bedford.
“He loves meeting new people, so being part of the interview panel gives him a chance to do that.”
George is well-known at Bedford for keeping busy and having a good sense of humour.
A day rarely goes by without George doing something for the Home’s community.
Eileen added: “Every day, George sets the dining tables with crockery, cutlery and napkins.
“He likes to get stuck into the gardening and to keep places tidy.
“We feel so lucky to have Residents like George who are wonderful to be around – he’s a true gentleman.”
