Braemount Bee Kind Café Launch Takes Off!
22 September 2022
A new social space called the Bee Kind Café has proved a big hit with its first Braemount patrons during a fun-filled launch event.
Home Manager Richard Murray and his team welcomed Residents and their loved ones to the café in the Home’s Linwell unit.
The idea came about when Residents requested a dedicated place to enjoy food and drink with their loved ones that didn’t involve leaving Braemount.
In response, Richard and his team worked hard to create the Bee Kind Café, which will open monthly.
Richard said: “We’re buzzing after the success of the first Bee Kind Café event!
“It was lovely to see the Residents and their Relatives enjoying quality time together over a meal and a beverage.
“We made sure to create the café vibe with our menus, décor and service.
“The team were busy bees all afternoon, and the feedback we’ve had is incredible.”
Among the delicious choices on the menu are toasties, sandwiches, jacket potatoes and salads.
Patrons can also order cakes, cream teas, hot beverages and soft drinks.
Richard added: “The whole ethos of the Bee Kind Café is to give Residents the opportunity to enjoy the atmosphere of a café in the safety of Braemount.
“Many Residents don’t feel ready to go out into establishments in Paisley yet, and their Relatives said they’d like an in-Home option too.
“Our café offers that, and we’ve been able to transform a disused area of Braemount to make it happen.
“We’re already excited to open again next month.”
