Chip Shop Night Is A Hit With Deanfield Residents

Everyone loves a chippy tea, so the Residents of Deanfield were delighted when they enjoyed a whole evening dedicated to the nation’s favourite supper.

Colleagues at Deanfield hit upon the idea of having a Chip Shop Night after chatting about how popular takeaways had become during the lockdown.

When they asked Residents if they wanted a Deanfield Chip Shop Night, the answer was a resounding ‘yes!’ So, they placed a large order with the Home’s local chippy and got some special drinks in too. 

Activities Co-ordinator Emily Campbell said that the evening was such a hit that Residents have asked to do it once a month.

Emily said: “Everyone had some fish and chips, even those who usually don’t participate in group meals.

“We served beers and soft drinks too, plus we had some video calls with family and friends, who were delighted to see Residents having such a good time.

“It was such a success that Residents have asked to have Chip Shop Night once a month.”
