Local Children Deliver Christmas Messages Of Hope to Cloisters Residents
19 December 2020

Kind-hearted children at local Hounslow primary schools visited Residents at Cloisters Care Home to perform an outdoor carol concert and deliver Christmas cards.
The youngsters from both The Heathland School and St Michael & St Martin Primary School got busy drawing colourful cards to send to the Home, hoping their words and pictures would bring festive cheer.
On the 17th December 2020, the children made a special visit to the garden, where they sang Christmas carols for Residents from a safe distance.
Manager Sharon said that Residents and Colleagues were incredibly moved by their performance.
Sharon said: “It means a great deal to all of us that the children have been thinking of us and wanted to cheer up the Residents.
“Not only were their cards fantastic, but the concert in the garden was beautiful. It warmed all our hearts to hear them singing carols just for us.
“As soon as it’s safe to do so, we hope to invite the children to visit Residents at the Home. Intergenerational friendship is wonderful for youngsters and older people. It’ll be terrific to get to know the children better.”
