Cloisters Care Home turned into a hub of excitement and delight as residents gathered for a festive celebration of Shrove Tuesday, complete with a pancake party that left everyone craving more.
The day began with the tantalising aroma of freshly made pancakes, generously topped with strawberries, chocolate, and bananas, courtesy of the talented Chef at Cloisters.
Leading the charge was resident Ron, who took on the role of Sous Chef for the party with enthusiasm and skill. With a twinkle in his eye, Ron graciously took orders from everyone and set to work plating up the pancakes with precision and care, ensuring that each one was as visually appealing as it was delicious.

As the pancakes sizzled on the griddle, residents and families gathered around, sharing stories and memories of Shrove Tuesdays gone by. Her words resonated with many, evoking a sense of nostalgia and gratitude for cherished family traditions.
Meanwhile, Ken couldn’t help but praise Ron’s culinary prowess, expressing his admiration for the impeccable presentation and mouthwatering taste of the pancakes. “Ron did a fantastic job as our Sous Chef,” Ken remarked with a smile, echoing the sentiments of all who had the pleasure of indulging in the pancake party.
