Community Kindness Lifts Spirits At Woodstock Care Home
30 September 2020
Residents and Staff at Woodstock Care Home have been overwhelmed by their local community’s generosity and kindness says the Home’s Manager.
Monica Christie said that the thoughtful gestures, presents and cards sent to the Home had lifted spirits during a challenging year.
The Dereham Kindness Club, Dereham Tesco, Holly Farm, Sarah’s Sweet Treats, Sweetzy, and Norwich City FC were among those who donated gifts to the Home.
Local school children, kind-hearted locals and band Pot Of Gold also sent cards, pictures and hampers to the Residents and Colleagues.
There were also handmade gifts from talented neighbours – and kind seamstresses who made bags for Colleagues to wash their uniforms in.
Monica said: “In this challenging year, the thing that has shined through is community spirit – and we are so grateful.
“So many members of our community have reached out to send us beautiful cards, thoughtful gifts and words of support.
“These acts of kindness have meant the world to all of us here, Residents and Colleagues alike.
“We can’t wait until we can safely welcome our dear friends back into Woodstock for a visit.”
